There is no better way to start off the week, then by taking a look at Sochenda and Brad’s wedding. The happy couple were married on the Hawaiian Island of Kauai. It was a fairy tale wedding come true. Before the wedding, the couple took a daring hike at Waimea Canyon (as seen in the first photo of the post). Waimea Canyon is a breathtaking location to visit, it is also known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific.

Sochenda and Brad shared their vows on Poipu Beach, on the south shore of Kauai. Poipu is a popular location for visitors, and it is common to see humpback whales and sea turtles off the shore of these waters. Great for any wedding guest visiting the area for the first time!

The bride and groom did not allow a little rain get in the way of their special day. This is a great example of how a couple can make their wedding work, even if it is raining. We love the brides peacock inspired shoes. Also, that the couple was willing to break the wedding tradiation of the groom not seeing the bride in her dress before the ceremony. Congratulations Sochenda and Brad on your dream Hawaiian Wedding!

Mary and Ben met in New York City, when Mary was working as a receptionist at a company where Ben was the IT guy. One day when Mary needed help Ben showed up, and I guess you can say the rest is history. When he proposed, there was no other place that Mary wanted to get married other than the island of Kauai, where she grew up.  As they began planning their destination wedding they fell in love with the Hukilau Restaurant on Kauai and planned their gorgeous outdoor ceremony on the beach. The stunning tree decorated with simple white orchid strands and blue gray ocean were the perfect romantic backdrop for photographer Penny Dinn.

Mary and Ben wanted to surprise their guests, many of which had travelled all the way from New York, so right after dinner their guests were treated to a full Polynesian review. Drummers, hula dancers and a traditional fire dancer entertained the crowd and everyone ended up joining in the fun and learning how to sway their hips. As the couple danced the night away, we have to admit that our very favorite part of this Kauai wedding was the hand-drawn cake topper lovingly constructed by the Best Man and that completely conveyed the personality and joy of this awesome couple.

Congratulations Mary and Ben!

Kula & Jasmine :: Kauai, Hawaii { REEL Wedding }

Not only is the scenery of this wedding out of this world, but this is also a couple who knows how to have fun! Kula and Jasmine celebrated their wedding at the Kahili Kai Estate, and they could not have asked for better weather. During the outdoor ceremony you can see the love this couple shares for each other. They even followed some Hawaiian wedding traditions, Kula wore the traditional green maile lei during the ceremony. Once the ceremony ended, the partying started. From everyone dancing to wedding guest making use of the outdoor pool, this wedding party could not have asked for a better venue.
