This real wedding is absolutely stunning. We love the country, rustic feel this couple embraced for their wedding theme. They were married in Lorita’s backyard, which was also where they first met each other many years ago. The wonderful photos above were taken by Studio 3511 Photography.

The couple would crosspaths at work, and John told us, “for awhile we thought we have seen one another before, but we couldn’t place where “. Finally it clicked. John asked Lorita if she had ever been to an event called the Pig Out. Lorita explained how that event is held in her backyard every year. From there they put together the exact moment they met.

The wedding reception was held in the Waimanalo, on the island of Oahu. We love the classic truck this couple used for wedding photos and the beach photos are breathtaking. Our favorite part was the tree wrapped in Christmas lights. This is a great idea for any bride that wants to have an outdoor wedding. Congratulations Lorita and John on your gorgeous Hawaiian wedding.

Olivia and Benjamin shared with us their gorgeous engagement photos.  We love this adorable couple. Creatrix Photography took these photos on the island of Oahu, in Waikiki. They were engaged on March 5th. Wakiki is a known for its iconic beaches, and has so much more to offer its visitors. It is a great place to go shopping, eat at local restaurants, and you can even visit the Waikiki Aquarium!

We love the bride to be’s outfit for the engagement shoot. The dress is perfect for the warm Hawaiian weather.  Her hair with beachy waves is stunning, while the Leis add a great Hawaiian touch to the shoot. Congratulations Olivia and Benjamin. Good luck with your wedding planning!

Jen and Stavro’s wedding is one of our favorites! They celebrated their destination wedding on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu. The ceremony was held at St. Constantine Greek Orthodox Church. The reception was held on a Private Estate in Aina Hania. Aina Hania is Hawaiian for “Hind’s Land”, named after famous local Robert Hind. It located just east of famous Oahu areas, Diamond Head and Waikiki.

Not only was this wedding gorgeous, but this couple knew how to have a fun time! We love the little touches this couple added to their ceremony. The lanterns and flowers were great additions for the table arrangements. What is your favorite part of this destination wedding? Share with us in the comment section below! Gemy Vinson - Just looking at these photos gives me ideas to share with brides who come to my salon. I love the attention to detail on the flowers. The lace around them was delicate and beautiful. Lots of people go to Hawaii to wed. Jen and Stavro did it right.

Hawaii Wedding

We are excited to share our bohemian inspired style shoot, which we put together with DISfunkshion magazine and was photographed by the amazing Christina Heaston, a member of our MWH Vendor Collective. This wild and sweet picnic set for two was shot on the North Shore of Oahu. The North Shore is a dream location for any type of event, especially for our boho bride.

Disfunkshion put together this wild style for our bride. To glam up the simple white dress, we used lots of chunky accessories. The layers of rings, bracelets, belts, and necklaces brought her look from simple to bridal worthy. Also instead of the traditional veil, we created our own with tulle.

When creating the picnic setting, we used items that were already available to us. This is a great tip for any bride. A bride can incorporate her personality on their wedding day by using items she can find around her house. As table tops, we used trunks. To have our trunks stand out, we wrapped them with yarn. This was also a great way to tie in the colors of the of the decor. The Native Navajo blankets and pillows created great accent colors.

Another inspiration for us in this style shoot were dreamcatchers. To hang up our dreamcatchers outside we have to get creative.  We used an empty picture frame to display them at the picnic. To add another layer to the design we had lanterns, candle sticks, studded leather boxes.

Don’t be afraid to use color along with your wedding dress and to search vintage stores or department stores to find a unique look for your wedding day. Don’t underestimate the power of accessories and don’t be afraid to bring out your personal style on your wedding day and have fun!

Outdoor Wedding

Miki and Aaron said, “I do” in this gorgeous outdoor wedding on the island of Oahu. This wedding was shot by the talented Rachel Robertson Photography. Miki and Aaron met while working on the set of the hit television show Lost, which was filmed on Oahu. Years later, they returned to the island. That is when Aaron proposed to Miki on the top of the hiking trail Kokohead.

From the start, Miki knew she did not want to use an indoor venue for her wedding. With friends and family visiting Hawaii for the first time, they decided to give them a spectacular Hawaii experience. They did this by having their outdoor wedding on Dillingham Ranch. They set up a few activities before the wedding, so the guests could see everything the North Shore of Oahu has to offer its visitors. From paddle boarding in the famous Waimea Bay to having their rehearsal dinner at a local favorite, Haleiwa Cafe.

Miki wanted to embrace Hawaii as part of her wedding theme. She also was able to add her own touches with mercury glass, chandeliers, and vintage frames. She decided to use coral and hints of gold as her main theme colors. The bride even set up a few do it yourself projects with her bridesmaids. They painted the frames on the tables, and made a few wedding signs. Congratulations Miki and Aaron!
