Engagement Shoot: Lachelle & Mark

We absolutely adore this unique engagement shoot from Tie the Knot Images!

How they met: With both of them from Kaua’i, they were acquaintances and she hung out with all of his friends. It wasn’t until after college that they became a couple. Lachelle was a former Miss Kaua’i and Mark was on the mainland playing minor league baseball. When he returned, they started dating.

The proposal: He proposed to her in November 2011 after hiking the mountain near her home. Her father had planted a bamboo patch over 20 years ago near the home and when they finally got to it, he made her close her eyes. When she opened them he had carved ‘Will you marry me?’ in the bamboo.

Of course she said yes!

Their wedding is set for September 2012 at the Kaua’i Botanical Garden’s Meadow.
