Kolby & Peter got married, literally, up in the clouds 3,000 feet above sea level. It was important for both Kolby & Peter to get married on the Big Island where they are from and where their friendship began, over 10 years ago. And because Kolby films weddings for a living Aria Studios, where these gorgeous pictures are from), the venue was everything. She wanted a venue she had never shot before so it didn’t feel like work, and she wanted a place that was totally “them.” Kahua Ranch in Waimea was perfection. It is spread across 8,500 acres and is home to grazing cows, sheep, horses, and some of the most spectacular views in Hawaii.
The decor centered around wood, twigs, and everything rustic with black and white, lime green, and pops of navy blue. The intimate ceremony took place on a grassy look out overlooking the Kona and Kohala Coast with Haleakela in the background. Just a few steps away guests enjoyed live music, a fresh island feast, a game of horseshoes, a s’mores bar, and a fun photo lounge.
Congrats again to Kolby & Peter!
