Sara & Karl: Engagement Shoot Giveaway Winners!

“Karl had just bought his dream apartment in New York: a one-bedroom with a private roof deck in Brooklyn Heights. A month later, Sara (a Hawaii native) moves to the neighborhood and finds her dream apartment to rent in the same building, two floors down.

But it was an inauspicious beginning. Sara’s first memory of Karl is him running bags of trash and construction debris up and down the stairwell. Karl’s first vision of Sara is her moving in, looking disheveled in ugly baggy jeans.

One day, they strike up a conversation in the stairwell. Sara mentions she has leaks in her windows — major cold air coming in. Turns out Karl is a handy guy — good at fixing things. They part ways. He sends her a flirty email that gets caught in her spam folder. Message rescued, they again discuss leaky windows and set a date … to fix her windows.

Sara is so nervous about seeing him that she throws back a shot of whiskey just before he comes over.

Windows suddenly fixed! He’s about to leave, and then asks Sara out for a drink. The rest is history.

Fast forward four years: Sara and Karl are out snorkeling in Hanauma Bay, out past the rocks, out past the ‘safe’ reef.

Sara thinks they are about to call it a day when Karl pantomimes “Look, big fish!” Karl dives down few feet and turns around. In one hand, he’s holding a tiny plastic baggie with a ring in it in and pointing to it with the other. Sara smiles and starts cracking up. Her mask promptly fills with water…”
